My apologies to everyone on this forum 'cause I know this is a trite thread but after reading all the differents ways to set this blessed feel stop I still need a help.
Short time ago Mr.Lynn Stafford wrote:
Feel Stop: The Feel Stop on the 2nd string, (D#), of the E-9th tuning is adjusted as follows:

1) Tune the string open, with the Tuning Key as described in the basic procedure.

2) Tune the full tone lower change, (D# to C#), with the respective Nylon Hex Nut.

3) Tune the half tone lower “feel” by adjusting the Red Nylon Hex Nut that lowers the 9th string, (D). This nut should be adjusted to make contact with the 9th string Changer Finger when the 2nd string reaches its half tone change, (D# to D).

4) With the knee lever fully engaged, the 9th string will undoubtably be slightly off from where it should be, C#. Correct this by adjusting the Set Screw in the end of the neck, right side, behind the 9th string Changer Finger.

What's my problem? I tried to tune d# to c# (as specified at point 2) but I can lower the second string at maximum at d!
How can I do that? The psg is a Rains sd10.
Thanks to everyone could help me

You might check to see that if there is a screw behind the 2nd string lower (like that on the 9th string lower) that it is backed out enough to let the 2nd string lower to a C#.

Yes that would be it. That screw is used to limit the lower excursion and is used to time lowers and also tune splits where the same string is raised and lowered simultaneously (obviously with two different changes) and the desired in between note is tunable. 2 common examples of this would be the 5th string raised to a C# and also lowered to a Bb and the in between desired note is a C or, in another case, the 6th string is raised to an A and also lowered to an F# and the in between desired note is a G.

a 3rd example : strings 4 & 5 w: pedal C & the E lower lever
(which are the same notes as pedal A w: lever F at the same fret)
