I intend to get those who are interested in having a cursory knowledge of Harmony rolling in a month's time. I'm making a series of simple posts on my blog dedicated to this purpose. It's definitely something I want to pass on, and I know there are a few who have become frustrated with the subject. My aim is to keep it simple in delivery, but thorough in its message.

Please feel free to check it out, it won't cost you anything, I'm not trying to sell you anything, and it won't hurt. Just follow the link to my Lapsteelin' blog below. The first installment is up.

Now that I've started, I feel like I must continue with it, so I'm just reminding people that it's there and will be updated as often as I can squeeze it in. Usually it takes me about 10 minutes to write the content, but about 2 hours to motivate myself to do it. Laughing

Please either bookmark or subscribe to the page so I don't have to keep letting you know there is a new installment, which there is today, part 3.

I'm up to part 6, which is about dealing with non-diatonic chords, understanding their function, where they are going and how to improvise over them. If you have found yourself struggling to play over changes, this could be a big help.

Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for all you do, and do so well. You have an uncanny ability to come up with just what I need and I really appreciate that.

All the best,

Bob

Great stuff Mike, and I look forward to your be bop lessons, which would be easily adaptable to 6 string CEGACE set up?
