Howdy all,

I've already contacted Tom Bradshaw about this amp and he'd never seen one like it before. It is currently not working and I'd like to see if anyone has seen one of these and if by some miracle someone might know where I can find a schematic.

The amp's ser. # is 684, it is built in "point to point" manner without a main circuit board....its a jungle in there, that's for sure.

Though he'd never seen a Webb like this one, Tom has schematics for three different models which he thinks may contain useful info for the repair of this one.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Happy Holidays!

nope, no gut shot...as I said its a jungle in there, and now the amp is over with at an electronic tech pal's place so I can't get ya one right now.

The power supply section looks pretty much like that of a 6-14E, but the main board....well there ain't one...so what's there looks nothing like the main board section of the 614-E amps I've looked at the guts of.

The front panel should show everything needed for the info I'm after which is...Is anyone familiar with this model and does anyone know of a schematic for it.

Thanks again!

By the way - I'm a huge fan of all the awesome work you did with Salsa years ago!

Thanks Matthew!

This looks like the docs for the Sarno mod for Webb amps...so I'm guessing it might be for the more plentiful 614-E models. I'll get it to my 'lectric tech pal to see if this can help him. I've built and repaired a few tube amps, but don't feel comfy diving into this.

I'm glad you liked what my great crew and I did back in my Salsa days, thank you for the kind comment! We had quite a bit of fun back then. I'm as obsessed with pedal steel these days as I was back then for bikes (of course I still love bikes too!). Being the nerd I am, I'm as fascinated with the guts of these beasts as I am of the lovely sounds they make....another 30 years or so and I may even get proficient playin' 'em!

It hasn't been updated in a few years, but you can see some of the stuff I've been messing with since leaving Salsa at:
