Del - I honestly dont know. I have spoken with the fine people at Billy Cooper regarding the history of these models that were built by Mullen & Billy Cooper and they were built at the end of the pre rp, and just before the RP guitars were made.
The people at billy Cooper told me that some of the improvements that are on the Billy Cooper model eventually came to be on the Royal Precision. What improvements? I dont know.
I was also told that they made 34 gutiars (I believe).
My serial # on this gutiar is C0034 (C for Cooper model, 34th gutiar made).

I have had a couple of people asking for more pictures. I have sent them via email so I thought I would post them here too.

This guitar is about as clean as could be and comes from my smoke free home!

Yes this is basically an RP model. there are only 12 of these. The only real difference is that the endplates are squared as opposed to the angled edges on the production RP...other than that they are identical, and the serial numbers have a C prefix instead of the M ...
