Pro Tools will only work with Digidesign interfaces. The M-box Mini is an inexpensive way to get into Pro Tools.

If you don't want to upgrade to Windows XP, then there are a number of interfaces (like the Tascam) that come with software, which might work with Vista.

thx Jason,I have Vista home version installed and the specs say you have to have a higher version of Vista for it to work? any experience on that? I have also heard one needs an external hard drive or firewire ? thx RW

Just tried one of the tascam w/cubase with bad results went for the protools m powered system like the fast track ultra for around 299.00 the best for the least amount of money .. you can go cheaper but you get what you pay for ..

Pro Tools, up to and including, Pro Tools 8 needs either Digidesign/Avid interfaces to work.
The M Powered version works with M Audio interfaces, which are what I use at home.
The new Pro Tools Nine now works with any interface, but needs Windows 7 or the latest Mac OS.
I don't think I've ever heard of anyone using Vista for music. Most people either hang on to XP or jump straight to W7.
Cheers
Dave
