Of those of you know that know who Chuck Caldwell is he died Tuesday of Cancer and I've been asked to speak at his funeral requested by him personally in writing of four people that will speak on his behalf Friday 2pm Funeral.

If you need a reminder he is the guy that played with a guitar straight pick and fingers and by most accounts consider somewhat of a genius...as Johnny Case said he doesn't throw that term around but he confidently used it with Chuck.

Chuck played with my Father Little Joe Carson, and was a part of what many refer to as one of the best Western Swing Bands of all time led by Tommy Allsup whom also consider Chuck the best he had worked with.

He wasn't very active the last 20 or so years a very humble man that wanted to be around family than take high profile jobs although he had many in his career.

If anybody has a story they would like to share with me it is a good chance I would use it when I speak.

Please send all commments and stories or thoughts to my email address as I will check it up to 1pm or later I'm fairly good on the fly if the thought or memory comes in late still bring it in no matter what time if nothing else I can share with the family.

Short notice but please send your emails to Randy Carson steelmanrr@yahoo.com

Thanks Sincerly,
Randy
