Lola passed away Christmas Eve. This was mentioned in the "Our extended Family" section but I thought it should be poated here.
Blackie is home with his daughters. I spoke to him yesterday to offer my condolences. He is grief stricken, and somewhat in a state of shock, as he was 18 years older than her, and expected her to outlive him.
Is there anybody who's life has not been touched in one way or another by this terrible disease? Let us all hope and pray that the doctors and researchers find a cure soon. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

As I recall, Blackie met Lola when she became a Student of his to learn the Steel Guitar. None of us knows what tomorrow might bring. It is important to live each day to it's fullest ! Blackie and I go back about 60 years. He is in my thoughts and prayers. |

My condolences to Blackie and family. We've been 'buds since I got out of the Army in 1963. He's one of the good guys who always helped out the working musician when needed. He'd extend credit to a picker who couldn't get it the normal way so they could buy equipment to work with. He's a nice soft spoken guy and a good friend! I feel very bad for him at this time!.....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
