I'll be playing a 10 pm set between two other bands I've never heard of at The Hook
http://www.thehookmusic.com/main.html
on Commerce St, Red Hook, Brooklyn, on Thursday. It's a semi-rare non-Hank's show for some motley form or another of Sean Kershaw and the New Jack Ramblers.
Why do I mention this? I guess because if anyone's looking for me at home Thursday nite, I'm not there but I'll be back soon. |

For a minute,I thought it was the "Red Hook" thats just N.E. of Kingston. I worked there, for their annual fire dept. carnival, nearly 50 yrs ago.(& I'm only 30 yrs old.)

"Located in the hot, emerging area of Red Hook, Brooklyn THE HOOK is more than just a club; it is a social frontier."
Are you ready for that kind of pressure, Jon? Will you wear a coonskin cap? |

Heeee! Yep, a paahneer, thass me. It was back in aught-aught-diggety-three that the first stage made the treacherous journey from Brooklyn Heights, through Cobble Hill and arrived at the music club known as the Hook. Then Hoffnar showed everybody the very first PSG and it just ain't been the same since. We'll be entertainin' Lib'ty Valance and his pals, I reckon.
Hey Smiley---I used to live & work up in those parts--lived in Woodstock, worked in Rhinecliff. Back in aught-aught-diggety 1974 or so. |
