Hi folks, this is my first post. I thought I'd start off by thanking a fellow forum member, Tom Bradshaw. Tom lent me a Webb amp for a recent California tour I did. It was a theatrical production called The Legend of Gram Parsons. Here is part of my email to Tom:
"Hi Tom,
I've been meaning to send you a note for over a week now. Please excuse my tardiness. I'm the guy who played through the Webb amp you kindly lent us. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and trusting spirit.
The amp certainly is top notch. I really thought the tone was outstanding. The other guys in the band and the producer/manager also thought it sounded great. Michael (the p/m) is also a long time steel player and also dug the sound of the Webb in the house. Most of the time it was mic'd but not in smaller rooms. Lots of power! I just hope Fed Ex got it back to you in one piece.
And Tom, we are not exactly strangers. I ordered steel guitar records from you in the mid '70's when I was just starting out. I guess that kind of gives my age away. Ha ha.I loved getting those records..."
