Help! A friend of mine has recently acquired an Audio Vox lap steel. The label on the head stock says Seattle, WA under the name. Looks to be from the 40's maybe. It seems to be in pretty fair shape and I'm told, sounds very cool. I'm hoping that some folks might have some info/history on Audi Vox... my buddy would appreciate it. There has always been a bit of a rhubarb about the "first electric" guitar, if it was Tutmarc or Rickenbacher, even though Rickenbacher seems to be the most accepted one. Maybe the first with the product and production was the winner? Kind of interesting history there.... |
