SALE PENDING!
I currently have a redundancy of lap steels. I know, there are worse situations to be in, but I've decided to let this one go.
This is one of the most ornate Valco steels of the early '50s. It has gold-plated hardware including Klusons with gold-sparkle buttons; this plastic doesn't shrink much over time, so the original buttons have plenty of life left in them. The pots and knobs are replacements, but the knobs are period-correct. There is minor wear, but generally the steel is in clean condition. The gold plating on the control cavity covers tends to wear off over time, but on this guitar it's mostly intact. The famous Valco string-through humbucking pickup is loud and clear. The original case shows its age but is in fine structural condition and has the original clear plastic (lucite?) handle that matches the guitar's hand rest.
$400 including Paypal and shipping in the continental US. I'd also be interested in trading it for/towards a Music Man 112RD 50W amp. The guitar has an old screw-type Amphenol connector, so I'm including a 1/4" adapter as well as a Stevens-type bar.

It's now on Ebay, but I'd gladly end the auction early for $400 shipped.
