Here is some of his pickin' and another pic (from 1947; taken in Bandera TX) with The Texas Top Hands; left to right: Rusty, Easy Adams, Walter Kleypas, Knee Hi Holley, and Curley Williams.
I didn't know he was still living, but anyone who survives drinking lye as a child has a good chance of living that long.

Sonny,
Sorry to hear about the passing of Rusty Lock. I never got to hear him play live but I did meet him several times when he came out to hear us play. What an Icon. I'm playing with Ray next friday. |

Last year, One of his sons; David Graham knowing that I had been making inquiries about Rusty sent me an e-mail stating that Rusty was still alive. I had lost track of him in the early 50's.
Condolences to David and all family members. _________________ "Keepin' the steelin' going strong"
