Hi, I can't find any reference to 26 inch scale Magnatone, a 6 string lap steel. Have been offered one blind, no pictures, no model number to research on internet.

If I go ahead it will be viewed before purchase, can anyone throw light on when such guitars were made, model numbers, do you have experience or photos of these?

Many thanks for any help offered, this Forum is a terrific resource and never a dull moment.

I'm not aware of any 26" scale Magnatones, although there are a few 24 1/2" scale Magnatones.

False alarm, vendor got measurements wrong, it's a 24 and 22. Talking about the 24.

Thanks for response Mike, reading your blog.

Most of the 24 1/2" scale Magnatones I've played sounded great and played very nicely, particularly these, the G70 and G65:
