Intro: Josh Turner's Why Don't We Just Dance

I'm trying to nail down the intro and a few licks to Josh Turner's song Why Don't we Just Dance. What I have for the intro is 8th string at fret 6, slide to 7, then string 7, 6, 5, 5A, 5. First, I want to make sure this is correct then need help completing it. (from 0:08 to 0:13 in the attached video)

Also, it sounds like some 6th chords are being played during the second verse (at 1:39-1:42 and again at 1:48-1:51).
