Here is a photo of the ZUM Hybrid built for and previously owned by John Hughey. It arrived today, safe and secure thanks to a great packing job by Bobby Boggs. Even UPS could not damage it.

With 9 floor pedals and 10 knee levers, it may take a while to figure it out. Great tone and great action. Still have my Emmons LeGrande, but I am in love with my ZUMMER!

Good grief man! You must be beside yourself with elation. I don't think I could stop jumping up and down long enough to sit down and play it.

A major steel guitar acquisition and with accoutrement and appointments beaucoup. Congratulations. Exclamation

Hi Darrell - I play with your brother, Lynn. He emailed me pics of your new guitar the other day. Just wanted to say "congratulations" - a beautiful instrument.

Irv, I feel "honored" to be in the CLUB. I have been wanting a Zum for a while, so when this one became available, I jumped on it before Bobby could change his mind. I also talked to Bruce about this one, and he confirmed that he built it for John in 2004 and he is not building any more loaded up guitars right now. In fact, he is not taking any orders until he gets caught up. So, I am very Blessed to have it.

Jody, Lynn is very excited about having you in the Hometown Opry Band. I have played with them on several occasions, and always have a great time. Looking forward to meeting you next time we are in town.

Darrell,
It wasn't long after I'd heard about the "hybrid" that I placed my order with Bruce. At that time you could order a guitar for a $200 deposit.
I figured, what have I got to lose.
At the time that I ordered, Buddy Emmons still hadn't made up his mind yet on whether he wanted a straight Zum or a hybrid. When Bruce said that he finally decided on a hybrid, I figured that's good enough for me! I believe my guitar is loaded up as much as yours including separate right knee levers for each neck. It is a great guitar!
