Just got home from a wedding party at the Enid Moose Lodge and they had a band from the FT Worth area I think was the Dance Hall Dandies or Daddies and they played great kick a$$ country all the way and they were a great group. The steeler was Wade Branch and he did an excellent job as well as the fiddler and the whole band, and the singers were right on. They played country you can still dance to. I don't get to dance hardly At all since I still play weekly, so will probably tell it some tomorrow . I really enjoyed getting to listen and dance for a change. If you get a chance, catch this group---I think you would enjoy them. Jack _________________ Zum D10 8x5,rev pre-amp, TC M300, Split 12, n-112, IZZY, Hilton vp, Geo L, BJS Hughey, Live Steel |

I think the band your referring to is Landon Dodd and the Dancehall Drifters. And they are indeed great! check out his latest album. I believe all of the steel playing is done by Jim Loessberg and Bobby Flores.,, Really good stuff!!! _________________ Emmons P/P's into the loudest amp I can get ahold of. No effects other than reverb. EVER!. Come catch a show and be sure and say hi! |

I just downloaded Landon Dodd's CD from CDBaby. What a wonderful set of tunes with lots of PSG mixed right up front. Includes a couple of great duets, one I think with Amber Digby and a couple of 3/4 tunes. Just a GREAT time for anyone who loves Texas honkytonk like I do!!
