I've got a steel body Dobro from the mid-80'. I'd appreciate any suggestions on what strings to use on it. I play country blues on it and like a sharper sound and haven't been entirely happy with phosphor bronze. On this guitar, I usually play in E major or A tuning. All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Pete Hunt

Elderly Music has GHS E tuning strings that I use on my National Polychrome. They sound great and are the correct tension. The model # ELD LAP E and gauges are 14,18,22,34,46,58. For open A I use D'Addario Nickel wound 14,17,22,30,42,54 for E,C#,A,E,A,E
