Harvey Small, Flat top Player, Straight Steel Player, Dobro Player, Pedal Steel Player and GREAT Fiddle player, passed away last night. My friend and "Jammer" for well over 40 years. Harvey was born in N.H. during the hurricane that hit New England on September 18, 1938. Harvey was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard from 1956 thru 1960. He settled in Massachusetts after being discharged, and went to work for the local "Gas Company" for well over 40 years, prior to his illness. This summary is from Harvey over the years. Harvey leaves his beloved wife, Madeline, four wonderful sons, beloved Grandchildren, and, myself and others whom he made with music for over 50 years. Rest in peace my friend. Jay Y.

Thanks Jay for posting that info. I also had known Harvey since the 50s and always respected his ability on the Dobro and the Pedal steel . And he was a real nice guy and never had a bad word for anyone . We will all miss his friendly smile !! Eddie "C"
