I hope someone can help. I got a refurbished emmons pp. Great guitar great sound but I really don't like the foot pedals. I'm used to my old Sierra single neck with nice fat pedals and these things are just plain skinny. Even my double neck sierra has more of a pedal. On the Emmons there really is no pedal per se, it's the same width where it attaches to pedal bar as it is on the foot end. I may have trouble with my quest because the pedals on the emmons have only about 2/3 the space that the same numbenr of pedals occupy on my other double neck. Still I would like to try.

Thanks in advance,

A. W. Dickerson

Sounds like you have a push-pull with LeGrande style pedals instead of the wide cast pedals found on push-pulls from the 60's and 70's.

I suggest you contact Forum members Jerry Roller or Lynn Stafford.....either will most likely be able to help you out.

Going from extruded LeGrande pedals to the older cast pedals on an Emmons will require surgery to the pedal rack. The reason being that the LeGrande pedals are individually mounted on their own separate brackets, and the cast pedals are all mounted on a single axle fastened on two blocks located at each end of the pedal rack and running the length of the rack.

Not major surgery, but more involved than just slapping new pedals on there.

Also, there might be spacing issues with lining up the cast pedals with the crossbar actuators. Best to have an experienced Emmons mechanic do the job.

Herb,

I think that's what it's looking like. Inthink the spacing of the rods may preclude my dream
