| Hey all, I've got a '75 Silverface Twin that I've been having a recurring problem with lately. The reverb level will often be far too quiet, even if I've got it cranked all the way up. I'd say this happens about 50% of the time I use the amp. I've explained the problem to my regular amp technician in the past, but despite whatever he did, it's still happening. Any ideas of what could be going on? Thanks in advance. |

Couple things to try:
Jostle the amp and see if the Reverb crashes at a normal volume level. If it does, replace the Reverb driver tube (12AT7). I think it's V3. If the reverb does not crash at a normal volume level, try replacing the reverb recovery tube (12AX7) which I think is V4. If neither of these works, replace the pan.
This procedure will usually fix most reverb problems. There are other options, but it requires you to be competent inside of an amp. Let me know if you need anything else.
