| I Have A Peavey Nashville 1000 Amp. The Amp Came With A 15" 4 ohm Black Widow Speaker. Can I Replace The 4 ohm Speaker With A 15" Eminence Paul Franklin 400 8 ohm Speaker Without Damaging My Amp's Electronics? Thanks For Any Advice. |

| Should be fine. The speaker can withstand 400W, the amp puts out a maximum of 300W. |

Yes, you can safely use an 8-ohm speaker instead of the (factory) 4-ohm speaker. But the output of the amp will drop from 300 watts to 190 watts, so you'll have to "up" the volume to get the same sound.
I've done this on several amps, and the volume reduction is noticeable. |
