Hi Volume Pedal experts

I just got a second-hand Carter Volume pedal in the mail

It seems very "low profile" especially when compared to my Ernie Balls

sizewise, is it more similar to a 120L Goodrich than a 120?

and .. does anyone know .. are the nylon grommets that go around the pivot rod commonly available, or are they a specialist Carter part ?

seems reasonably well built, apart from the wonky pivot (maybe thats normal - it would be hard to beat those Ernie Balls for ruggedness, I reckon)

here's a picture showing the pivot and you can just see the nylon bushing (Circled in red)

this picture is from the Steel Guitar Canada website, and - yes - I have sent an email to AlB, being the person most likely to have any Carter bits.

I can't help you with the parts, although with Carter's very close relationship with Goodrich it may have been made by Goodrich for Carter.

But in reference to the height, Volume pedals made for pedal steel have a lower profile than volume pedals such as the Ernie Ball that are made for guitar players that stand up. Whether it's a "standard" steel guitar height or "low profile" ?? but it looks like a "standard".

Thanks, Jack

It does look Goodrich-y don't it?
I've never seen a Goodrich up close, so I can't really compare.

I measured it up last night - its 2.25" tall, so it is equivalent in height to the lowrider Goodrich.
