This is a one owner guitar. I purchased it new . The serial number is 000153. The date under the front tuner pan is 8/57. There are someones initials there also.
This guitar was originally the white or cream color hard enamel finish.We removed everything and stripped the old finish. Then we finished it in the walnut color that was used on the Fender lap steels of this era.
There is a left knee lever on the guitar and parts for one more knee lever.The extra lever was installed but I removed it to loan to a guy in Canada who wanted to sell kits. That never happened and he returned the parts to me.
This guitar is in excellant condition and has not been played a whole lot.The cases are in very good condition with all latches functing properly.
The frame is the polished aluminum and not the black frame as some were.This is a very good example of the early Fender 1000.
