When ever Doug plays it is always good to get several steelers in the audience it really kicks his playing to another level. Thanks Doug for the HOT licks last night at Jubitz.

Barry thanks for the nice comments but Doug's cup runith over with licks on both necks, he is the real deal, I know him very well.
I tend to shoot for the center of the road where Doug takes up both lanes shoulder to shoulder, I just love this guy.

Don't get a swelled-up noggin now, buddy, or you're gonna have to up the size of your fancy hat case! |

I took a lesson from Doug when I was down your way last spring. Great player, great guy. He tells some good stories of life on the road, too! |

Stu, I think they broke the mold while they were making him.
I hear that Larry has been on the Renegade Path lately and carrying on Doug's and my tradition. Going along and getting along.
I ALWAYS try to get Doug to sit in on my gigs, and I don't let that many people do it. Not even Butch Cornwall..
Doug is one of my best friends and has helped me more in the last two tough years of coping than most everybody I know. That's a plain fact.
He also saved me from being hunted down and worried to death by a scrawny southerner at one point at a casino on the Coast when he found out I named my Best Dog after "Uncle Billy".
I could go on and on....
We had a GREAT conversation today while I was at the river recovering from my AJ gig, and he was on his way to Pendleton (The Roundup, not the Nut House..)
We decided on a Great way of being "Diplomatic".
Here it is. Free of charge:
Say somebody really deserves to get told off in spades..
You simply say. "I feel really bad here"... They ask why of course. "Well, you see, I am developing a practice of not telling people to get screwed lately.
I'm having a problem, and feel very uncomfortable due to the fact that you have passed that point by about 200percent for the biggest "screw you" I can think of.
I just don't know how to handle it. Could you help me out here?"
Maybe the two of us could start an "Advice" section on Stynkwyck's Website....
