This is a one of a kind Scheerhorn (#114). It is the ONLY slotted peg head Tim ever made or will ever make. He made if for a player who would not take no for an answer.
It has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. I compared it to more than a dozen maple Scheerhorns and it more than holds it's own in volume and tone. It has more of a midrange cleanliness that cuts through a bluegrass band etc.
Tim told me yesterday that new wish list Scheerhorn's could go for around $10,000 and that he has 40-50 people on his waiting list. These are not cold hard facts, events and circumstances can always change.
This guitar has some road wear as it has been a working instrument, it is not just a piece of art or a collector's item to put in a vault and never seen again.
I am looking at $6700 OBO and no waiting. Trades and cash might be an option with cash being the major portion of the deal. (Dobro and cash, SD-10 PP and cash)
If you have friends who might be looking have them start here.

I was jamming in the lobby of the Tacoma Sheridan at the Wintergrass festival a few years ago when I heard someone whisper in my ear "I made that". I turned around but did not see anyone, I kept turning no one was there, I kept turning, finally Tim stopped moving and introduced himself. It was a great day and an even better weekend as he gave a workshop etc.
There was a vary large turnout that time of Dobro players because of all of the big name acts with hot players, Rob, Jerry etc.

This guitar was originaly made for my freind Dobro Dick.
I believe he wanted a south west looking instrument.
He is a great swing player, and one of the greatest persons I know.

It is a standard body to the best of my knowledge. Do not be fooled into thinking that the L body's are the only way to go, that is ONE way to go. This puppy will stand up to ANY other brand or body style. I have done it many times. This is not to put others down just that there is more than one way to skin a cat.
I think of a Martin D-18 and how it cuts much better in a bluegrass band vs a D-28 or D-35, this guitar made of the same materials does the same. Clean and clear.

Tab good to see you are still around the forum, it takes a lot to get you to post here I think. Some say this is worth more, some say it will never bring this price, I am looking for someone who has an interest in taking a look, we can work out the details later.
Good to see you here my friend.

Please close as Scott is the new happy owner. I am a believer is passing along great equipment that I am not using like I use to, they need to played and loved, not in a closet or under the bed or in a collectors vault.
Good bye old friend #114, greater days are ahead.
