As the story was given to me, there was a music store in Joshua Tree, CA. The owner of the store borrowed instruments from many customers. He asked the owner of the lap steel if he could borrow it for the weekend for a job he was playing. When the owner of the lap steel went back on the following Monday morning, the store was gone, cleaned out over the weekend, and along with it, all the instruments loaned to the store were gone. The police took a report but said they don't get involved unless the value of a single item is over $2500. If the owner of the item finds it, he can contact the thief and ask pretty, pretty please can he have his instrument back. Perhaps Vinnie and Guido should pay a visit to the thief. |

It's not a wise move to lend your instruments out, imo. I would not lend mine to anyone unless I went with it. _________________ Pettingill Teardrop 6 String Lap steel, Clinesmith Koa Reso, Clinesmith Myrtlewood Reso,

A shame. That's a very nice looking piece and I can testify to the high quality of Robert's work. I am sure the owner misses it! _________________ If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On. -Shakespeare
