I have a 1980 DeArmond Twister phaser for sale. The sound is somewhat similar to a Phase 90, but it has a wider frequency range. The pedal is in near-mint condition and works perfectly.
Aside from the intensity and rate controls, there are two internal trim pots; one controls the input level and the other limits the highest frequency that the phaser reaches. To optimize the signal/noise ratio, I have the input level all the way up; playing with fairly hot pickups (at least as loud as PAFs), the pedal does not distort when set like this.
$210 shipped/paypalled in the continental US.

I don't have any recording equipment available to me right now, so I did the best I could and recorded this through my laptop's onboard mic. Sorry about the fan noise, but at least here's a rough idea of how it sounds. I'm playing a National 1104 guitar through a National 1210 amp.

Price drop! Now $210 shipped.
I'd consider trading for fuzzes, other phasers, envelope filters and analog delays - mostly vintage-sounding stuff. |
