I have seen and heard a few of the solid body resonators most of them don't have a sound that is realistic for me (except for maybe a Sollophonic Smile and I have no idea how much these babies cost Sad , another one was a national resolectric which didn't sound as good to me but is very expensive Shocked ).

I was thinking about experimenting around with a cheap solid body guitar I have. I need to find a very narrow cone and assorted other hardware to fit into a solid body. i don't think an apple pie plate will cut it! Any suggestions Very Happy ?

A biscuit-bridge cone might work:

Gary Anwyl has a page documenting his resolectric conversion (using a biscuit cone) here:

If you'd like more information on resolectric construction/conversion, try the Musical Instrument Maker's Forum:

You'll need to register for an account. Then log in and you have access to the library. A search on resolectric will yield more information and suggestions.
