When setting up and tearing down 2-4 times a week, I use the "anti-skid shelving material" to assemble my steel guitar legs to the body.

I never have to touch the chrome legs, it helps get a good solid grip when tightening and removing the legs, and helps my old hands hold securely onto the legs when flipping my steel upright.

I've been using this technique for several years now and really notice that my chrome has stayed in much better condition. I never have to clean hand prints off anymore.

They do make cloth gloves with rubber dots on the palms, but the other musicians will make fun of you Razz

Not with my method though..... Smile

Steve, great idea! Why not take it one step further? Trace your hand on the material. Cut out two pieces. Glue them together with crazy glue around the edges and there's a nice glove for ya!
(You can't mind what the other musicians will think of you.)
