We recently bought a used (like new) Expo S-10 for my wife to learn steel. It works great but the A pedal was stiff and hard to push compared with the B and C pedals.

After comparing the 5th string (B) "A" pedal raise with my Franklin, I found the pull rod was located in a different hole in the changer finger. On my Franklin it's in the top hole (nearest the top of the guitar) and in the Expo it was located in the 3rd (lowest) changer finger hole. I moved it to the top, the same as my Franklin and also changed to a different hole in the puller finger. It gave a totally different and easier feel to the A pedal. My wife can now push the A pedal much easier and also has an easier time rocking back and forth with the B pedal.

Now if I can just get her to listen to her teacher.... Laughing
