Hey Tommy,
Would you share what stomp box you are using on an eveing with Lloyd Green & Tommy White.
Your guitar sounds so good. What would be a good preamp for steel that doesn't cost an arm and leg. I have an RV-3 & DD3 just can't seem to get them set right. Something has got to help my Nash400.
Help

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your kindness.
The foot stomp box is a 25 year old Boss DD-2 delay pedal. I have 3 of these pedals ,all purchased at the same time, as I never wanted to be without one.
Your DD-3 I believe incorporates the same functions and capabilities as the DD-2.
In regards to pre-amps, I'm not so familiar with individual components in steel guitar amplification, as I've been using Webb combo amps and the occassional Fender amp since 1993.
Thanks again and my best,

Hi Tommy. I was wondering what guitar you were using when you played with Doug Jernigan and Paul Franklin at the NTSGA a couple years back. I could for sure hear the DD-2 and I believe your trusty old Webb amp. Your tone is always to die for. That particular guitar had that little extra tone and unbelievable sustain. Always been wanting to ask you what it was. |
