When we did LP Field for CMA fest in June, Chad's rig was set up next to mine and I believe it was a red G2 thru a bass pod.

A little history about Chad Jeffers, He was the dobro player in the band Pinmonkey, who, in 2002 had a hit with the song "Barbed Wire & Roses", then in 2005, he was touring with Keith Urban, and around 2008, he became Carrie's steel player. Before he played a Mullen, he was playin' a Marrs

It's made by Line 6.
It's a digital modeling pre amp, for bass guitar.
I have one for bass. Never thought of using it for steel.
Cool...

I think it is (was) a regular Pod with in a different colored case, with different presets. You could say the 2 Pods were identical.

Yes, the Marrs was one I had built several years ago. However, Chad started the gig with a Sho-Bud Maverick, and was just learning to play pedal steel at the time. Sounds like he's coming right along.

I gave Chad his first lesson on a Sho-bud Maverick acouple of years ago. He then got the Marrs SD-10 3x5 and I gave him some more lessons. He recently got a Mullen G2 4X4 and is using that guitar on the road with Carrie and his Marrs as a studio and home guitar. He is going direct through the pod with Carrie and at home uses a Nashville 112. He has also recenly written a new book for the working musician in Nashville. It's good stuff.

Blessings, Albert

I've talked to Chad about the Marrs guitar-he said it's a great guitar. The Mullen he plays is seen in Carrie's new video, "Undo It" and the Marrs was seen in Carrie's "I Told You So", video that was shot at the Opry and it was also seen at the 2008 CMA Musicfest onstage with Carrie as she performed her song "Last Name" and her other hits.
