Hi Elton,
I think I have some insight for you.
In the video alongside Kelly are mostly Austin based players:
- Mike Hardwick on steel.
- Brad Fordham on bass (one of my best friends, playing my 1962 Fender Precision).
- Dave Murray on electric guitar
and
- Mas Palermo on drums (Kelly's boyfriend at the time, if I recall).
I'm pretty sure they all played on the sessions too.

I hope that helps!
Lee

Just goes to show that you don't need a bunch of pedals and gadgets to play really good sounding steel.A really good sounding group.

I don't think it's a Fender, more of a Don Helms Gibson sound (to my ears).I stopframed it in a couple of places, looks Bigsby-ish with some sort of changer. The pickup area looks,to me like what you would see on a changer guitar.

Lee, Would you have any idea??

Maybe when Brett see's this,he can shed some light on it.

I just spoke to Brad who recalls it being a Fender steel guitar, tho' he's not sure of the model.

Of course, what was used in the video may or may not have been what was used for the actual recording.

Brad lives close to Mike and will try to confirm the details.

Mike is a member of this forum, so maybe he'll chime in ...
