Seeing if anyone out there has a lap or console steel seven string project guitar out there. Can be just the body with or without hardware/electronics.

Steven,

You might want to check with Bobbe Seymour. He mentioned last February that he still has a stock of NOS Sho Bud parts to assemble non-pedal consoles. Here is an SGF discussion about same. You couldn't be dealing with a better person than Bobbe.

-------

Mark Vinbury makes the very affordable Dynalap steel kits; And has said in SGF discussions that he will provide full and partial kits to custom order. There's been some pretty good reports about his steels (example). I've played one of his 8 stringers and it was indeed enjoyable, and very good tone (Truetone pickup); BUT, until Mark fixes the verticle tuner knobs being too close to the nut, playing the tone-bar at the nut and first fret borders on "impossible" (your bar hand is blocked by the tuner knobs).

-------

A search of the SGF No Peddlar section will find a number of other current non-pedal steel makers who might also be able to provide bodies and parts.

Aloha,
DT~

I've sent a message off to him, thanks for the tip. I suppose I'm being too fussy about a seven string, so I guess I'll make a request in addition to a seven string I'd like to throw in a request for a Rickenbacher or Fender Stringmaster FIXER UPPER TOO. With or without electronics and tuners etc. Thanks, STEVE
