Ok, my son got this unit, the Model 6A Super Sustain Match Box, in trade, and sent it to me to try out, as I have a pedal steel guitar, and he doesn't. (Not that I didn't offer him one...)
Anyway, I hooked it up to my Blanton, and it doesn't seem to do anything. The signal comes out, but only if I turn the 6A up all the way, and when I do turn the pot up all the way, it makes a weird electrical click, like something is shorting out.
I already tried brand new batteries.
So, what am I missing? Does the Blanton already have so perfect a signal that this unit can't help it?
Anyone with a clue, please let me know what else to try. |

Well Max,
This may sound obvious, but did you make sure the cables are plugged in correctly, and not backwards?
Good luck,

I had one and spent hours tracing down the circuit without a schematic, replacing bad transistors. I could not get a schematic or much support, unfortunately. Considering what one is worth I do not find them economical to repair, at current shop rates. |

The first thing I would do is put in a fresh battery. A weak battery can cause all kinds of weird things to happen. |
