Adobe Releases Security Update for Flash Player: Adobe has released Flash Player 10.1.82.76 to address multiple vulnerabilities. http://bit.ly/a3RkTB.

See what version of Flash you have installed for each browser brand, here. If you use the current version of Firefox it will tell you to update Flash, when a new version has been released. Internet Explorer users still need to go to Adobe and update the ActiveX version manually.

Due to exploits in the wild, you are strongly advised to update your Flash players now!

Does each browser have it's own copy of Adobe Reader? Or do they just call the Adobe Reader program installed (as a stand alone program) on your system. I have IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome installed. Do I have to upgrade each seperatley?

Do IE and Firefox separately, then open the others and see what the Flash Verification page tells you. If Chrome or Safari don't apply either of the major versions, they may have one of their own. I suspect that the Firefox version will work for Opera, Safari and Chrome.

Duh.. I need to learn to read. I read your post wrong. It's Adobe Flash Player, not reader. I will try your suggestions.

EDIT: This may be a stupid question, but where do you go in the browser to tell it to update Flash Player? I couldn't find it in IE (or the other 4 browsers). I know in the past, I have gotten notifications automatically on updating certain Adobe products, but can't say for certain it was Flash...Adobe Reader I do remember. I have Adobe CS4 on both my computers and the updates may have been for them.

Wiz, I use Firefox latest version and it hasn't told me yet. Will Firefox pop up a window to alert me or how?

Guys; there is a link in my original post that goes to the Adobe Get Flash page, for your various browsers. Use the link from each browser to install the correct version of Flash.

Click the link in Wiz's first post or just go to www.adobe.com. On the page, you should see a button that says Get Adobe Flash Player. Click it and you will be taken to the download page which says "Install Adobe Flash Player
2.7 MB
Adobe Flash Player version 10.1
Windows, Internet Explorer
Different operating system or browser? "

If you need to update for IE, click the button that says Agree and Install Now.

If using Firefox, Safari, or Opera, click the link under the Internet Explorer text above that says Different Operating System or Browser.

I just learned that users of Google Chrome browsers require a special version of Flash that appears to be integral to each version of their browser. Update to Chrome version 5.0.375.126.
