Steve,
I always love your playing.
Can't figure out what you are doing half the time, but I love it.
What tuning are you using to get those wacky arpeggios?
Thank you for posting this. |

The playing is really good -- very imaginative -- and that's a great sound you're getting. What kind of steel is it? |

You're always fun to listen to, Steve. Always unpredictable--a quality which all my favorite guitarists have. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Steve, great playing there and Donna is one helluva rhythm player! It sounded like more players than were actually there!....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Your choices always surprise me Steve and they always sound right. I really enjoy your steel playing!
I'm very comfortable with a flatpick on standard guitar and I've tried and tried to use the hybrid pick and fingers approach you use but my ring finger won't cooperate and join the team. James Burton plays Dobro with pick fingers and one fingerpick on the middle finger. You can certainly get some kinds of licks going with a flatpick that are different in phrasing and attack fromusing finger and thumb picks. |

Nothing but Excellent Steve. I hear a lot a lot of old and very new in your playing. _________________ If you worry more about the tools your building with than what your building, you'll never get anything Built
