Would any forum members, have or know where I can find more information on the setting up of a squareneck Reso guitar, especially the spider bridge area... I have searched and found a few sources, ie: Stew-Mac and a couple other sources, but nothing that goes into great detail. I have changed the nut to bone with success, just want to gain all the knowledge I can on the cone. bridge area so I can set it up properly... thks. in advance.

You might want to check out Bev King's Dobroist's Scrapbook. This is a nice little book for any Dobro player or fan. There are sections on instruments, players, set-up and so on. It is available at music stores or on the web. You might even find one in the library. I got my copy from Elderly Music.

If you need more detail than print sources are giving you, you might want to check out the Paul Beard setup DVD:

Dale, there's lots of information right in this forum. Also check Reso-Nation and the Musical Instrument Makers Forum.

It's not that hard, just take your time. Measure twice and cut once.
