Topic: New England Steel Guitar Show in Rhode Island |

The New England Steel Guitar Association will hold a steel guitar show September 19 at Post 15 1016 Main St. East Greenwich Rhode Island from 12noon till 6pm. The band will be Ken Law and The Lawmen.
We will have Mike Pfeifer from New Jersey, George Wixon from Conn. and also Dick and Diana Smith from New York. Also our member steel players Vinnie Doyle, Frank Goulart and Richard Lucke. The kitchen will be open. We will have some prize raffles and a 50/50 raffle.
Come and have some fun,hear some great steel pickin, a great band and dance the day away.

Hi Pat & Vinny Anna and I will not be making it this year as we have been on four trips since we have moved down here in beautiful North Carolina.We have our big Steel Guitar Jam coming up the following week end that you are having yours.We have 18 Steel Players all confirmed to play and it is going to be packed with Steel players and listeners.We will see how this one goes and see if we are going to do more. I'm still trying to find a nice place for the Mid Atlantic Steel Guitar Association to have a Jam in the close by area.I checked with the American Legion Post here in Fuquay Varina and they have to be out of their minds .They want $800.00 for their hall and it will hold about 140 people and that is for one day.Thanks but no thanks that is what I told them.Anna and I hope you have a great time at your Steel Guitar Show and a great success.

| Wow! $800 bucks for a DAY? I bet they don't rent that out very often. Here in mid-Missouri my VFW and the local AL only charge $100 with a $100 deposit that is returned if they clean the place themselves. $800 is a lot of smackers. |
