TSGA president Albert Talley called me today to inform me that Maurice Anderson has decided to NOT perform at the upcoming TSGA Steel Guitar Jamboree. Albert did not give me any specific reasons for the change in Reece's decision to perform, so all I know is what I'm delivering.

If Maurice wants to share the information, that would be fine, and if he would like to keep it to himself, that too is more than fine.

Any questions about it should be asked of Reece himself. Right now, I gotta go change the website again!

I want to sincerely apologize to everyone concerning the conflicting statements relative to my performing at the TSGA this coming March.

I will accept total blame for the misunderstanding. When Albert Talley was kind enough to call and ask if I would play, I told him at that time I would not be able to do so, which he obviously relayed to Herb Steiner.

About a week or two "after" my conversation with Albert I was able to clear the date. I then wrote Herb because he was the one listing the players, and informed him I could play the show, and of course he was kind enough to inform everyone and add my name to the list.

Because I did not also call Albert and tell him of the change, he informed Herb I would not be playing, based on what I had originally told him. Being the patient and kind spirit Herb is, he then wrote this thread to say I would not be there.

So again my most sincere apology to Albert, Herb and all concerned for the unintended confusion, for which I accept full responsibility.

I look forward to seeing all of you there God willing.

Thank you, Reece!

The above post is STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH.

MAURICE ANDERSON WILL PERFORM, barring any unforeseen complications, which of course applies to all of us.

And I am one that is glad that you will be there Maurice since I know more than most about the whole thing. Just don't play all your songs out because you have to save some for East Texas Steel Guitar Assn. when you are our featured artist next year.

I'm already working up am TIZZY just thinkin' about it.

SEE YOU IN DALLAS IN MARCH
