Mr. Schmitt this web link you posted has tuned out to be the best,,,,,, for me anyway.
http://www.lozach.com/tuning.php
I used it about six months ago after your posting and sure enough it worked great.
Like many others I just had to try something different.
Some of the other procedures are a bit much for this old brain to absorb.
I am certain the others have merit and may even be more accurate but the ease of this system is what’s impressive to me.
Thanks a bunch.
Tell the guys in France I said thanks as well.
Michael

Hi Michael
Thanx a bunch for your testimony
i'm quite glad it worked for you
Jean Yves Lozach is France's top steeler & he's the one that came up w: that tuning system
so he's the one who get's the credit
many of those who tried his tuning program, myself included, found it conclusive
if it had'nt i never would have put it up
tuning is a delicate issue & Lozach's program might not satisfy some
to each his own
Thanx again Michael
all the best to you & your steeling journey
for those who wish to study the phenomena it's here :

I have been having a devil of a time lately getting in tune with standard guitar.
I have been using BE's recipe for my 6th, but I'm sounding flat against the guitar player.
The 13th tuning sounds a little better, it has quite a few notes straight up.
Should I try re calibrating my tuner to 442 and stay with the Emmons recipe, ie flatten 3rd's and 6th's ??
The tunings are Bb6, Hi to Lo 5 3 1 6 5 3 1 6, and F 13, 1 6 3 9 7b 5 3 1 .
Any suggestions ?

wish i could help you Lee but don't think i really can
i asked Jean Yves if he could come up w: the program for C6
(much less if any cabinet drop on my C6)
so far he has'nt done it - he's quite a busy steeler (& b@njo picker too)
i tune my C6 via harmonics & compensate then program into my stroborack tuner
btw : the C6 presets that it has are pretty good
yes the 3rds are tuned a bit flat |
