Well, no Tim, but a great turn from Rob Ickes on reso and Jason Carter from Del McCoury band on fiddle. Really sweet, Letterman's going with some class music this week! Thanks for the heads up, Jerry!

Yes MVA, Rob and that Ickehorn sounded great.... I think that was Tim playing the banjo.

Shows how well I keep up. I wasn't aware of Dierks' new album having an acoustic flavor.

Yes, Tim is still with Dierks. Dierks is featuring Del McCoury's band members for his latest record. I saw Dierks in Greenville, SC in April and Tim was there playin' steel, dobro, and banjo. One of the first instruments I saw at that show was Tim's Jackson Pro IV.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't an Icke'horn, that was a Real'horn. Rob is justifiably proud of the quality job Wechter has done with his manufactured in Asia signature model, but on his own gigs he goes with the made-in-Tennessee real deal. He has two virtually identical guitars of the rosewood/spruce that the Icke'horn was patterned after - one made in 1998 and the newer one from if memory serves, 2004.

And I didn't know about this new acoustic-flavored project myself, but I like the sound and I really enjoyed the song on Letterman. I'll be picking up the CD.

Freakin' Jason Carter on fiddle - that guy is a monster! I was at a Del McCoury show out here several weeks ago, I spent virtually the whole show about three feet from the stage right in front of Jason and he flat blew me away. Cool

Hey, way cool Tim! Loved your Sho-Bud hat. Here's a guy faithful to his roots!

Here's for those who missed it.

Great!
