Continuing to fool around with Garage Band, I composed this sampler of ten tracks (Duke Ellington to Glenn Miller and others) recorded over the years with the lap steel guitar in a big band setting. Links:

1. I'm Getting Sentimental Over You
2. Witchcraft
3. Song of India
4. In the Mood
5. Canadian Sunset
6. Caravan
7. A String of Pearls
8. It's a Sin to Tell a Lie
9. I Understand
10. Until the Real Thing Comes Along

Backing tracks from Music Minus One and from a much admired musician band-mate of my teenage years, Edlyn de Souza of Toronto, Canada on sampled keyboards. The complete versions of these tunes are available on the HSGA website www.hsga.org. The picture was taken a few years ago on a little street in Singapore in a 1930s mood setting where many of these tunes would have been then playing on the radio.

Enjoy!

Kay
