The translation is winter on the beach. Very sweet, indeed. Thanks for posting. |

I wonder how many Emmons guitars were sold on account of that that cut alone. Emmons D-10 > Echoplex > Twin Reverb. At 2:03 you can really hear the Echoplex repeat. Compare to Bill Evans' "Peace Peace" from the 1958 LP "Everybody Digs Bill Evans" (Riverside RLP 12-291):

Buddy's performance of this song just knocks me out!
This song sounds like it could've been on the Black Album to me... the steel, bass, drums and piano all sound so similar to the performances from that record... I realize they were recorded 2 years apart, but does anyone know if Buddy used some of the same personnel on these two albums (Suite Steel and Black Album)? _________________ Respectfully,

Lyle Ritz – acoustic bass
Clarence White – electric guitar

Jim Yester is a member of the Association. If you go to their website, there is a song called "What Were The Words". I think it is Buddy Emmons playing on this one.

Buddy Emmons was kind enough to take time to show me the lick I ask him about. That was an admirable act. In my early days everything was top secret.I'm glad to help anyone I can with what small knowledge I have to share. |
