| Does anyone know the type of thread locking compound used by Bruce to fix the brass hex nuts to the raise rods, at the changer end? When dry it has a white / cream appearance. |

| Like Mark, all I've seen looks white. But Bruce says use Blue loctite. |

| Yes, all the guitars I seen use a white / cream coloured compound. It sort of reminds me of the compound plumbers use on hot water joints. In the past I've used Loctite, but the compound Bruce uses fixes nicely, but can still be tweeked without re-fixing. |

Mark, that's exactly what I thought. So I ask him. And he said Blue loctite. I using blue that dries clear. The only thing blue is the container.

Just a Warning! A lesson Hard Learned!
I know first hand that Breathing The Fumes of Red Loctite is HAZARDOUS !
I took several bottles from Work (to avoid an OSHA inspection) in a plastic tray and was going to keep it in the back of my SUV for a few days until the inspection was over. I had to remove it and drive with my windows open because it was making me cough uncontrollably.
Its some nasty Stuff!
I have no experience with the Blue, But I would advise to use all kinds of Loctite in a well ventilitated space |
