I want to use MP3's for backing tracks while performing.
Additionally, It would be nice to use it as a DVD player to watch movies on flights.
Any model recommendations?

We just got this Sony DVD player after the old one gave up the ghost. It's great. If you eject a movie and then reload it - it starts again exactly where you left off. Got it a Best Buys.
