Zane, I've been following your posts and videos with keen interest. Thanks from all of us that so appreciate you sharing these well explained demos.
I'm also a 12 string keyless player. I build my own steels, and I was wondering what steels you use. Are they all BMI keyless models?
I've noticed that you can see the tuner end move. Is this a lowering mechanism on that end?
I'd really be interested in seeing how this design works. Have you any pics of the mechanism, or perhaps you could post a video of the workings?
Thanks again, Dave.

When I saw your topic title you had me worried! I figured you were going to give me a challenge. Very Happy

Great to have you following there in the UK. Here are the photos that I have handy. I'll try to get you something closer. I'll be happy to try to capture some of that in a video. HONESTLY, I think it is THE solution to our string stretcher, bender, reducer, whatever you call it. You are correct that the left hand side (bar hand) is a lowering mechanism. All of the raising is done on the other end.

This is a BMI. I have finished it since this photo. This is the first and only all wood BMI. My father totally reworked an old (very old) keyless S12 and this is what he came up with.

The S10 that I've been demonstrating is also a BMI. It, however, is the factory model. My Dad is also going to take this guitar and change some of the base components.

I look forward to seeing one of your guitars.

Thanks for the question and I hope I can complete your answer very soon.
