Who is the most entertaining player? The funnest guy to watch? Who looks like they are having the most fun when they are playing? Are there videos or You Tubes to watch?
Just wondering.

I'm voting for Joe Wright. He's the main reason I go to St Louis every year.

Of course there are several others if I was making a list.

Jr. Brown should be that on the list as well. Those songs he sings and that guit-steel he plays are terrific.

The other players mentioned here are all wonderful players who we enjoy listening to, but the question was not who was the best player, but the best entertainer.

Joe Wright is also a wonderful player, but in addition to that he's a great comedian, and his shows combine music and comedy.

It would be futile to try to say who the best players is, but there is no doubt that when it comes to putting on a show and entertaining a crowd, Joe is in a class by himself.

I've got to vote for The Wright Brothers; Joe & David. Watched both at Terry's supperjam in Branson plus had breakfast with them Sat. & Sun. mornings. They are trully brothers; just have different Moms & Dads. They are almost as intertaining off-stage as on. Andy H.

Hee-haw had the hee-haw honies! AND buck owens.
So i could tolerate it. Joe doesnt look as nice in Daisy Duke shorts as they did (the honies, not buck..ewwww)

edit: i watched a few more Joe Wright videos. what a technical master. that right hand is amazing. i want that right hand technique (without having to do any work to acheive it)

Going out in left field here.

Bobby Garrett and Kayton Roberts for their shear number of distinct riffs and sounds. Gene Fields for his awesome work on the fretted 6 string steel neck (lots of Thumbs Carlsile riffs) that you don't expect to here on steel, Gene Oneal for Funkey Monkey... OK the list is endless............ I can't narrow it down to less than 10 people.....

I haven't seen too many players live but I did see Joe Wright and he was hilarious. He even made jokes about the forum.

Joe Wright gets my vote for most entertaining. He also gets my vote as one of the best players. He also gets my vote as one of the most approachable friendly guys. He also gets my vote as one of the most under-rated players. His playing mechanics are flawless.

Joe Wright based on facial expressions alone, besides his natural abilities on the steel and comic timing.
Here's a link.
Runner up and honorable mention: Junior Brown.
