I am writing this post from Jimmy Queen. For those of you that don't know Jimmy is one of the staff drummers at the ISGC. He also hosts the jimmy queen show at convention. Jimmy is an amazing talent who plays about anything with strings on it! His wife Starla is very much the same and they make a great team that works as a duo at local clubs here in the ozarks! I have the good fortune of playing with them every sunday night at a club in hurricane deck Missouri along with John Farrell. John is also one of the great staff musician at the convention and a great guy!!!You might have seen Jimmy,Starla, and John on the hall of fame show this year.
How cool is it to be a steel guitar player and play every week with the guys and gals who lay down such great beats for the "bigboys" I feel very fortunate.
Anyway Jimmy wanted me to invite everyone down to a steel jam put together by another great steel picker named Bill Jobes in Warsaw Missouri. The jam will take place on Sunday Sept. 28th. Some past guests have included Hal rugg, john hughy, and other "biggies" For more information contact jimmy and starla at "thequeens.net" and as always after the jam we will all be back at "crickets" in Hurricane deck for the country crickets show from 6pm to 10 pm
Now thats a full day of good country and western swing steel playin! Anyway vivsit their web site for more info!!!See ya There!

Scott-I just know that will be a good show. Bill Jobes and I took the one week Jeffran College teacher's course in 1977 in Nashville. He was a very good player , even then. I had my Red Sho-bud Professional D10 then. He had a PP Emmons, naturally. My best wishes to you both.....al

I'll be there. I believe Hal Rugg, John Hughey, and Jeff Newman will also be there. This will be fun!

I will be there if I can get this slipped disc to settle down enough. Sounds like a lot of fun.
