Recently acquired a 71 Dual Showman, very interesting amp. Two quirks; sometimes the volume drops considerably for a bit and then comes back. Second, sometimes it sounds crackly a little, kind of a white noise kind of thing. Sound like tube issues to you tube types? Thanks!

Not a good sign .. could be many things .. bad resistor
bad speaker .. bad tube or tube socket .. bad output transformer .. get it to a tech right away or it could
cause serious damage .. or not but get it checked out.
